IBO 2018 logo shows a standing wild goat (Capra aegagrus), an abundant wild life always found in Iran. The goat icon is after a 7000 years old minimalist and stylized graphic design of an ibex with few sweeping curves constitutes the main motif of this ancient design (5000 BC).
At the middle of the logo you can see a half circle of a relief of lotus flowers, frequently used on the walls and monuments at Persepolis Shiraz, Iran. The colors green, white and red show the colors of national flag of Iran, while at the same time the three colors show animals (red), peace (white) and plants (green) respectively.

It is belived that some 7000 years ago Man created his first animation to show the struggle of a goat for food. It was some drawings on a pottery vessel found in a civilization called Burnt city (Shahr-e Sookhteh) in Iran. It depicts five images of a goat painted along the sides. This has been claimed to be an example of early animation.
